The BOSS SmartTouch2 and Joystick controllers have a handful of functions. Read below to learn how to use them.
V-Blade SmartTouch2 Controller
RAISE To raise the blade of the plow, quickly press the center button upward twice. You can also press and hold the center button upward until the blade is fully raised.
LOWER To lower the blade of the plow, quickly push the center button downward twice. You can also press and hold the center button downward until the blade is fully lowered.
FLOAT The plow will automatically activate the FLOAT feature when the center button is quickly pressed downward twice. (The center LED indicator will turn RED). You can also press and hold the center button downward for 2 seconds to activate the FLOAT feature.
SCOOP To create the Scoop shape with the plow, press both the left wing out and right wing out buttons simultaneously until the blades are fully extended.
ANGLE LEFT To plow snow to the left, press and hold the left wing out and left wing in buttons simultaneously until the blades are fully angled.
ANGLE RIGHT To plow snow to the right, press and hold the right wing out and right wing in buttons simultaneously until the blades are fully angled.
VEE To create the Vee shape with the plow blades, press both the left wing in and right wing in buttons simultaneously until the blades are fully retracted
SLEEP MODE If the controller is ON but is inactive for 20 minutes, the automatic sleep mode will be activated. The controller can be reset by turning it off and then on again.
RAISE To raise the blade of the plow, quickly press the center button upward twice. You can also press and hold the center button upward until the blade is fully raised.
LOWER To lower the blade of the plow, quickly push the center button downward twice. You can also press and hold the center button downward until the blade is fully lowered.
FLOAT The plow will automatically activate the FLOAT feature when the center button is quickly pressed downward twice. (The center LED indicator will turn RED). You can also press and hold the center button downward for 2 seconds to activate the FLOAT feature.
ANGLE LEFT To angle your snow plow to the left, use your thumb and push the joystick to the left until the plow is fully angled.
ANGLE RIGHT To angle your snow plow to the right, use your thumb and push the joystick to the right until the plow is fully angled.

Our BOSS joystick controller option is now available for EXT plows. Joystick controllers offer the versatility of right-or left-hand adjustment and are available for straight-blade and V-blade plows. Both the Module Adapter and V-Blade Joystick Control Kit are needed for EXT Joystick Control.
VEE To make the Vee Shape with the plow, move both wings in and pull the joystick backward.
LEFT WING IN Push the joystick diagonally left and backward to move the left plow wing out.
RIGHT WING IN Push the joystick diagonally right and backward to move the right plow wing out
Raise/Lower Press the switch up to raise the plow. Press the switch down to lower the plow. NOTE: You can rotate the Raise/Lower switch for right or left-hand operation by pulling up the joystick and rotating it to the desired position.
SCOOP To make the scoop shape with the plow, move both wings out and push the joystick forward.
ANGLE LEFT To angle the entire plow blade left, move the right wing out, the left-wing in, and push the joystick left.
ANGLE RIGHT To angle the entire plow right, move the right wing in, the left wing out, and push the joystick right.
FLOAT To activate the Float feature, press the Raise/Lower switch down until it clicks into the detent position, allowing the plow blade to follow the contour of the ground. The switch stays in the Float position until it is pressed up again.
On/Off Switch Press the on/off switch on the side of the controller. A light illuminates when the controller is on. Turn off the controller when not in use to prevent accidental activation of the plow.
ANGLE RIGHT To angle the plow blade right, push the joystick right.
ANGLE LEFT To angle the plow blade left, push the joystick left.
Raise To raise the plow blade, pull the joystick back
Lower To lower the plow blade, push the joystick forward.
FLOAT To activate the Float feature, push the joystick forward until it clicks into the detent position, allowing the plow blade to follow the contour of the ground. The joystick stays in the Float position until it is centered again.
