Follow the steps below to position, adjust, and permanently install the SL2 Sight System Kit.

Begin by aligning the pushbeam with the coupler. Do not attach the plow to the truck. The coupler should remain in the unattached, down position.

Sit inside the truck in a normal driving position. Locate a spot for the Sight Pin on the truck hood, directly behind the plow driver's-side headlight.

Use a piece of tape to temporarily attach the Sight Pin to the truck grille or underside of the truck hood at the location identified in the previous step.

Use a piece of tape to attach the Sight Decal to the backside of the plow driver's-side headlight. The center "V" shape of the Sight Decal should be aligned with the Sight Pin when you are sitting in your normal driving position inside the truck.

Check the alignment of the Sight Pin and Sight Decal from inside the truck. Adjust as necessary.
Installation Tip
Before permanently attaching the Sight Pin and Sight Decal, try backing the truck away from the plow and aligning the truck and plow using the temporarily installed sight system. Once the Sight Decal has been applied to the headlight, it cannot be repositioned.

When you have finished making adjustments, drill a 3/16-inch hole on both ends of the Sight Pin attachment loop in the truck grille or underside of the truck hood. Secure the Sight Pin with two 1/4"-20 x 3/4" self-tapping screws and two 1/4" flat washers.

Mark the current location of the Sight Decal on the back of the plow headlight.

After marking the location of the Sight Decal, remove the Sight Decal and wash the area beneath it with a wet cloth. Be sure the area is completely dry before proceeding.

Remove the backing from the Sight Decal and apply it to the back of the plow headlight.

Trim the Sight Pin to the preferred height.

Install the Sight Cap on the Sight Pin.
Installation complete. The SL2 Sight System is now positioned to provide a visual reference when aligning your truck with a compatible BOSS snowplow.
